First: Some people have a problem with adding custom files so this is what i do :)
Make a folder on your desktop named ganis(especially for new gani artists)
Make a folder on your desktop named ganis(especially for new gani artists)
Second: Ok so next! Go into the original ganis folder Graal\levels\Ganis. I get the idle.gani and drag it into my new folder!(some things are in there, the things im gonna use in the tutorial)
Third: Remember! All images go into your new ganis folder so you can see them in your ganis!
Time to gani!!
Ok so in your gani application click add new sprites button :)
OK,So when ganiing to get files into your gani is the first thing you should do! ok so select the image and look at the bottom left corner(Paint.NET) At the 4 numbers and put them in the 4 boxes in the boxes
(Numbers aren't exactly the same because i selected wrong the second time)first 2 numbers in Paint.NET are x and y second 2 are width and height.

After that you should see an image in the side bar full of sprites(do the same step before this to get the other sprites)
The GANI part is easy!!
Ok So for the gani part put all this junk together and make it pretty

Ok lets go over that stuff! not in big detail though.lets start on the green bar,
bottom part(left to right): Play animation, stop animation, Add a frame, Delete frame, copy current frame, (whited out things)Player copyed frame before that frame, Paste copyed frame to next frame, and that speaker is for adding sound to a frame. back color is he color of your background, single dir is making the gani only a single direction gani, setbackto is important! somewhat if you are making a idle gani walk gani and attack gani it is,so for the idle gani dont use setbackto but for the attack and walk set them back to your idle gani, def head is default head on your sprite, def body is that but for the body, def attr1 is hat, def attr2,def attr3 you get it, ok so that is your gui on the gani program
Now lets go over the white bar!(no pun intended)
direction at the top is direction of character, selected sprites are so show what sprite you currently have selected, plus and minus are for making a sprite apear in front or in back(minus is back)(plus is front), left and right are for precise moving a sprite left and right, and up and down do the same but up and down, x and y are the x and y of the selected sprite
now the typing part x.x, so sprite number is the number of the sprite so the shadow is 0 aka very first on the sprite list, loop is for making the gani play over and over, and continuous is if you want the gani to go on until you execute the stop option.
